Growing Up

Katie reached another milestone yesterday...she slept in her big girl bed!  We transitioned her crib to a toddler bed yesterday and it went very well.  She has always been wonderful about going to bed and we have never gotten any resistance.  Nonetheless, I was still a little worried about her not staying in bed especially in the morning when she wakes up too early.  To help with the transition I got this cow alarm clock about a month ago.  It is great for helping her know when it is time to sleep and when it is time to wake up.  It was a little expensive in my opinion but I needed something with pictures.  It's worked great and she knows that when the cow is sleeping, she has to stay in bed. Last night she went to bed and happily sang to herself for about 10 minutes before falling asleep.  She never got out of bed.  Then this morning she woke up and chatted for a while until daddy went in to get her.  Never once did she get up and start playing.  Big girl bed is a success!
