Christmas Tree Adventures

The girls are super excited this year and it's so fun to see the holiday magic through the eyes of a child.  Our holiday season started off this year by getting our first real tree.  Later I found out that the correct way to describe it is a cut tree and not a live tree.  This city girl who grew up with an artificial tree had no idea that some people actually bring a live tree into their living room and then later plant it in their yard.

It was a cold, windy northwest Washington kind of day but we had fun and I am loving the Christmas tree smell throughout our house.

I'm Back

I can't believe how long it has been since I have updated the Team Garner blog.  For those of you that actually are still checking this, thanks for sticking with me.  Hopefully, those that gave up will find their way back again.  The main reason I haven't blogged in the past 2, oops make that 4 months, is because life took over and our computer crashed.  Well life is still happening and is as busy as ever but did just get my new computer today.  It was a devastating to lose our computer because all of our photos from the past year and a half were lost.  Luckily I was able to save most of the videos but I am still upset about the pictures.  Note to self and everyone out there....back up, back up, back up!  You never know when something is going to happen.

So, while I won't go back in time, I will fill everyone in on the highlights and happenings from little ole Ferndale.  It just won't be tonight.  Miss Carly has decided that she wants me up with her between 1:30-2:00 am and sometimes it lasts for 10 minutes, other times it is an hour.  Either way I am exhausted from interrupted sleep.  Plus I and am still trying to get over bronchitis that I have had for the past 3 weeks.   But I will be back soon with lots of pictures, videos, and stories from the Garner family!

Stay tuned....

Randomness

My girls are early risers which means I rarely get any alone time in the morning.  That also means that I rely on Sprout in order to have a cup of coffee in peace.  And after a little Fireman Sam, Barney, or Clifford, they get busy.  This particular morning I looked at in the garage where we keep the play kitchen now and discovered this....
my monkey and her cautious sidekick

My little smurf artist getting creative with the blue chalk.

I finally took some time to do a thorough cleaning of the car including the removal of car seats. I had no idea the girls would have so much fun playing in their own front yard car.

Notice Tinkerbell is properly secured and ready to go

That's all for now....happy almost weekend!

Stormy Weather

A week or so ago we had some delightful thunderstorms roll through Bellingham and since that rarely happens we took full advantage.  Not only did we sit outside and watch the storm,  but the girls ran around the yard in the rain.  They were all smiles and it was one of those mommy moments I never want to forget.  It was the kind of innocent childhood experience that makes summer so much fun.

Carly discovered the drain spout.
