Halloween Fun

We had a wonderful weekend with lots of Halloween fun.  Saturday Katie wore her ladybug costume to music class and then to her friend, Marshall's birthday party.  We also took the opportunity to take some pictures because we weren't sure what the weather was going to be like on Sunday.

Sunday turned out to be a nice fall day so we watched a very disappointing football game, went for a walk, and went trick or treating.  I wasn't sure how Katie would do but she loved it and even said "trick or treat" in her quiet little shy voice.  We went to about 10 houses in our neighborhood and then called it a night.  I was very hesitant to give her candy but a few friends at work convinced me otherwise.  So she got a Tootsie roll pop and a Nestle crunch bar and when we told her that it was all gone, she melted down and cried out for more chooooocooolate!  Luckily she got over it quickly when the doorbell rang and she got to help hand hand out candy to all the other trick or treaters.  It was a great weekend!

Not to happy getting ready to go.  She was tired and luckily fell asleep during the trick or treating

All ready to go

Daddy and a very excited Katie

Enjoying her yummy sucker, but of course I had to be the mean mommy and not let her finish it.
Happy again after a little nap and some good northwest fresh air.

Happy Halloween from the Garner's!

You are not being a mean mommy! She will soon (too soon!) be a candy-crazed trick or treater (like a certain 6 year old that I know). Out of sight, out of mind:)
