My Grandpa
This has been a difficult week for me as my grandpa passed away unexpectedly Sunday night. He would have celebrated his 90th birthday on August 1, 2010. We were very close and I miss him terribly but I am so grateful that I have so many memories of him that I will be able to pass on to my girls. He was my mom's dad and and even though we lived many states away from each other for most of my life we saw each other at least 1-2 times a year. Some of my fondest memories include the road trips my parents and I took from Denver all the way through Texas, the Christmas's we all spent together at my aunt and uncles house in Billings, Montana, and most recently when they came up to Bellingham to meet their first great grandchild. Luckily, Jeff and I went down to Texas this past November and I am so glad we did.

Andrea, I was so very sorry to hear about your Grandpa. He always made me smile & I am glad that I was able to know him. What a blessing to have gone to Texas last fall! I love you so much my lovely friend!
Andrea, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Grandpa! I am so glad to hear that you did get some time with him recently and that he was able to spend time with Katie as well. My Grandpa has been pretty ill lately too, and it has been difficult.
Thinking of you guys during this difficult time!
Oh what a heartache. I am so glad your grandpa was able to meet sweet Katie. Grandparents are one of the sweetest blessings in life.
