We had a little gathering on Saturday to celebrate Katie's first birthday. Since I figured I have many years of party planning, I wanted to keep this one small and simple. So, we invited our closest friends over for a big barbecue dinner and some cupcake eating. The guest of honor was the entertainment as she thoroughly enjoyed her cupcake from a local bakery called Katie's Cupcakes.We had a great time and I didn't even shed one tear the entire night (came close after the cupcake eating, but got myself under control quickly).
