The Garner's were fighting some tough germs this past week but everyone is feeling better today. Jeff had been sick for a week and finally called the Dr. on Thursday to find out he had a sinus infection. After some much needed antibiotics he started feeling better yesterday. Katie got a cold but luckily she just had a stuffy nose and a few days of not being quite herself. And luckily, Mama G stayed healthy through it all (thanks to all those years of working with children and getting exposed to all kinds of germs).
Since Jeff was feeling better yesterday we barbecued and had some friends over for dinner and the Husky game. Even though the game didn't turn out well, the food and company was great and we had a really good time. It rained almost the the entire day, but Jeff didn't mind thanks to his little setup with the picnic table umbrella.
Nothing will stop Smoky G!
Katie is busy exploring the house and getting close to cruising around. She stands up easily and will let go with one hand to reach for the closest stable object. She loves playing in the kitchen with a bowl and measuring cup...which makes me wonder why did I buy all those toys? :)
This is a short post because I have to go get dinner ready for Lil Miss who is pretty much eating all finger foods now. Some of her favorites include bread, sweet potatoes, Cheerios, pears, carrots, peas, hamburger and even some BBQ chicken. She is one happy eater.
