Our little girl is here! Katie Louise was born Tuesday, January 6th (her due date) at 6:51am! I will post more about her big debut later but she is healthy and we are all doing really well. I started having strong contractions around 9:30 Monday night and we came into the hospital at 2:30 and by 5:30 I was 9cm dilated. After an hour and half of pushing she made her way into the world. Jeff is a very proud daddy and he was a wonderful coach just like I had expected. Everyone is healthy and we couldn't be happier....more to come later but here are some pictures to enjoy.
I am the first to leave a comment!! I love her so much already and she is so beautiful too. I feel like I am an Auntie and what a great feeling! Seriously, I am so excited, you would think that I gave birth to her. I hope that your labor went ok and it sounds like you pushed for a long time. I, too, pushed for an hour and a half, until I thought that I couldn't do it one more time, but I did and I have the kid to prove it! LOL Anyway, I feel the same as everyone who knows you and what you have been through...I AM SO SO PROUD OF YOU. and I love you too. Give Jeff a high five and kiss Katie (a million times) for me. I miss you!
She is precious! I've told my Nate and Sarah, and they are very excited to have a new cousin (first-cousin-once-removed or second-cousin? I can never remember how it works!). I can't wait to watch her grow and show her personality on your blog.
Welcome to Team Garner, the blog about our family just living life in Bellingham, Washington. We became first time parents when our wonderful daughter, Katie was born on her due date of January 6, 2009. We chose the name Katie in memory of my mom who passed away in 1998. Our second little peanut, Carly Rose was born June 30. Parenthood is an adventure and this is a place for our friends and family to stay in touch with the Garner family happenings.

Your Dad and I are so excited - we can't decided who is the most excited about being a grandparent! She's absolutely adorable.
