Still Pregnant

Went to the Dr. again today and Katie seems to like her happy little home in my uterus. I am only 1 cm dilated and 80% effaced. So, that is a little tiny bit of progress from two weeks ago but not much. So, for all of you who thought she was going to be a 2008 baby I don't think that is going to happen. If she still hasn't come by our next appointment in one week we will talk about scheduling an induction date. However, our Dr. prefers to let nature take its course but if I am still pregnant at 41 weeks I will be induced. That means Katie has two weeks left!

oh.....the "Still pregnant feeling" - I was about 42 weeks along by the time my daughter came out and man was I ready. All of my kids liked their "space" way too much to want to leave on time so I was late with all of them.

One thing I want you to do though, before she comes out - is sit for just a little while and close your eyes and put your hand on your belly and enjoy that feeling of her moving in there - before its gone.

I didnt have much of any post partom depression after my kids were born but the one thing that made me get the blues was how empty it felt once they were out - I really missed feeling them moving inside of me and it was so "quiet" inside - I just missed it alot. I still do!

She will come when she is ready :) I dont know if you had childbirth classes but doing squats helped move mine along.

Dont go riding over bumpy roads or anything - it doesnt work ;)

Good luck beautiful lady and know Im thinking about you and wishing a speedy delivery (I just got a vision of Mr. Rogers neighborhood in my head when I typed that...weird)

:) - Jen
