Montana Vacation

Jeff and I returned last night from a wonderful trip to Montana where we relaxed and hung out with family for a week. We left on Friday night after work and were only planning on driving to the Spokane, WA area but due to the big Sturgis motorcycle event going on, we were not able to find a hotel room until 2:00 AM in Misoula, Montana. Needless to say Jeff did a lot a of driving that day, but as you can see we were smiling the whole way.

And as much as I love roadtrips I have to say that eastern Washington and parts of Montana can be very flat, dry, and straight but the mountains are absolutely gorgeous.

We arrived on Saturday afternoon and had a big barbecue dinner to celebrate my grandpa's birthday which was just the beginning of a week of eating very well and way too much. My aunt and uncle spoiled us tremendously but I have to admit it was wonderful to not have to think about what was for dinner.

Throughout the week we had a good combination of staying busy but also getting some relaxation in. We visited The Little Bighorn Battlefield (which was very interesting), rode go-carts and bumper boats, visited the zoo, Jeff went target shotting, and overall just enjoyed being with family.
